I'm about to buy my first Tacoma, a 2021 SR5. I opted for functionality over flair—just need a reliable truck for work and to haul stuff around. It's in fantastic condition and sports black wheels. However, the rest of the truck is completely white, and I'm looking to add a bit of visual contrast to make it stand out a little. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to add some visual interest to my Tacoma? All ideas are welcome!

Post up some pics and people will tell you exactly how they would do it. Then you can filter it through your own preferences and make it your own.

As far as I am concerned, it would seem to me, that the BF Goodrich KO2 tires were made for the Tacoma. Unless your truck already has them on it, give some serious thought to upgrading your tires to KO2s. How well tire and truck blend together is uncanny to say the least. Congratulations on your buy and well done. Enjoy a superior piece of engineering and sex appeal, seldom seen out in public.

^Prefer Yokohama G015 AT over BFGs, used to run Goodriches however found their performance to be lacking.

To the OP, Wouldn’t touch it personally, however I prefer more to blend in than to stand out. My truck is debadged too. As they say “to each their own”

Could apply decals to it, problem with those is paint will fade, if you decide to change you’re left with a ghost image of it.

    Congrats on the new truck!

Different colored wheels are a good, easy way to make the truck look different. If you want to paint the wheels you already have, then it's also a super cheap option.

You could wrap certain parts of the truck. Several of my friends have wrapped the center portion of their hood and/or their tailgates.

True for dark or colored paint, but not really an issue with white paint.

Tint the windows (2 fronts for sure), blackout kit for the badges. Black tailgate letters.

Retro TRD vinyl decals for the bed sides or some sort of TRD stripes. I love that look on a white Tacoma

+1 to the tint. I did 70% on the back 3 windows (back sids and back window) and 50% on the front two and windshield.
I couldn't live without ceramic dark tint where I live at and it makes the truck look a lot better.

I think the truck looks pretty sweet as it is.
Maybe a couple of Canadian Flag stickers on the doors under the side view mirrors…?

While not really cosmetic, upgrade any light you can to LED

Please do this correctly, not at PepBoys or Amazon. Especially headlights and fogs.

Very true, I did the Amazon route only because my headlights and fog lights were already LED

Definitely tint the front windows to match the back.

This was my first thought as well. If I had a white Tacoma, I’d probably do a “retro look” with yellow/orange/red stripes or multishade blue stripes on the side and/or hood. If you don’t want to go retro, consider a matte black decal on the hood (although that would look better on a scooped hood).

Also consider blackout badges all around.

Another vote for LED headlights and fogs. Those would modernize the look of the front end, as well as significantly improve night vision.

Another cheap appearance mod: Plastidip on the fender flares over the wheels. You can easily remove Plastidip if you change your mind.

One more option that is becoming popular: Bronze wheels, which would pair especially well with retro yellow/orange/red stripes.

Come back after you've waxed your door jambs and detailed underhood. :D

Personally black wheels are overplayed to me. When an item becomes so popular in the aftermarket that OEs provided it from the factory, it's time to move on. Think clear tails, clear side markers, monochromatic paint, blackout kits (aka KnightRyder-ish), black wheels, etc.

All were trends from the aftermarket that went OE.
