    Hi Everyone;

    We've owned a lot of toyotas over the years but never a Tacoma and we've always wanted one.
    We just bought a white, crew cab 4wd V6, automatic 2009 model as our "forever second car"

    I'm looking forward to being active on the forum

    Thanks

    LM

    Thanks Everyone! BTW, we had a problem with the truck, having to do with intermittent vibration at certain speeds. The dealer did some amazing things to try and figure it out for us. They tried three different sets of tires on our truck and also put those same sets on tacomas owned by employees. Our truck vibrated with all three sets, none of the other trucks did.
    They loosened the rear differential and tighten it back down and drove the truck over a couple days, putting it into and out of 4WD a number of times.
    The vibration is less noticeable but still there.
    They said there's no TSB on the problem yet but they believe Toyota is working on one as the Toyota rep made them do the tire tests to confirm the problem was not the tires, as though the guy knew the tires wouldn't be the issue.

    Bottom line is that they lessened the problem and marked my file for future reference. They did a great job but ended up saying that the vibration is an "inherent element" of the truck's design.

    We're going to put about 1,000 miles on the truck and then re-engage on the topic based on need at that time.

    For what it's worth....

    LM

    Just thought everyone would like to know.
