basically just OEM accessories for now
    Greetings everyone!
I've been lurking this site for the past month and getting lots of information about the Tacoma and all the options and accessories. Awesome to see the photos of everybody's ride. It's a great forum and I'm proud to join you.

I've bought a 2015 gray metallic double cab, SR5 edition with V6 and long bed. We are from Canada but live near Sebring Florida for 6 months each year. My wife has an older Toyota and I have been driving a 2012 RAV4, but we have decided to trade both in on the Tacoma. We will pick ours up on Mon Aug 31. Can't wait!

Because we do the drive to Florida and back twice a year we feel we need room to take more with us than we could handle with the RAV. We did take a long look at the F150 - liked it - and also had a look at the Colorado, but because we had 2 Toyotas to trade we got a very good deal from our local Toyota dealer.

We picked the Tacoma mostly for its reliability record, its easier-to-handle size and the fact that our demands for towing and hauling will not be that intense. Our needs are mainly for the overall utility the truck will provide. We hope we find it as comfortable as the RAV has been. We did own an F350 diesel for awhile to tow a 5th wheel and really liked driving in the truck and for its value as an overall hauler. We know the Tacoma is quite different but that's OK because we only need it for small jobs and the ability to take boxes of household items to Florida, plus for yard work and carrying our kayaks, golf clubs, bicycles and the like. It will also be much easier for my wife to drive and park. We know the Tacoma's well earned reputation as an off road legend however we don't plan to do much off-roading beyond a few trips to provincial or state parks. It's mostly moderate highway driving for us.

Anyway, just wanted to congratulate everyone on a great forum and to say "HI." I will post a photo or two after I pick up my new truck.

    Cheers!
