    Hey All!
Just purchased my first Tacoma a week ago Thursday. So far I love the truck, its styling, ride and smaller truck features. It's and 2018 with 30k on it (previous owner was a slob, sooo dirty inside) but it cleaned up real nice!

My issue here is the constant shifting into low RPM and not having acceleration. It's like you have to scream at it to downshift so you can go! I nearly was rear ended in city traffic because i couldn't get it to accelerate quickly. What's up, what do I do????

Looking forward to taking this truck on some adventures soon!

MDCYCLE - they have an “adaptive transmission” so it learns your driving style and tries to adapt. It’s likely learned his which is very different than yours. Try unhooking the negative terminal and letting it set a bit. My understanding is this will reset the adaptive learning and it will try to learn your style. Try to do it when you are going to be driving normally - ie in traffic around town if you commute. It should get better. Let me know if that works for you.
