Congrats man! My first truck at 16 was an '88 Toyota pickup 4x4 5spd, actually seen it today (sold it 7yrs ago to a local person), brings back great memories. If a Toyota is your first truck it'll be your last! You came to the right site for questions/answers. Welcome to TW!

i hate it when people get hand outs.. on that note at least he was cool enough to get you a good truck that will last i hope you get to experiance doing some mods to your truck and making it truely yours. there is nothing like putting your own sweat and blood in to a machine. i advise you not to trust auto shops intell you really know them. if you can learn to do your own work its much cheeper, fun, addicting, and will piss you off all in the same moment

    derek,
i cant wait to do mods to my truck and i already got a list made up within the past few days of research in prices. you are right about having your own truck that you can do what ever you want to it and im proud to say that now. ive learned from my brother and father about trucks and to never trust auto shops. that feeling of doing something to your truck, and you did it by yourself, in the drive way doing mods is a great feeling of saying i did that to my truck. and its a better feeling when you get complements on your work
