My Fox shocks reservoirs are both pointed the wrong way and I can't install them

I'm trying to install my @AccuTune Offroad rear suspension and it seems like neither shock fits on the driver's side? Both reservoirs are pointed the same way.

This is my first reservoir shocks so I don't want to start messing with anything and screw them up cause I would think I could just loosen the bolt where the reservoir tube meets the shock and flip it? Or should I be trying something else? Thanks for any tips.

EDIT: I'm dumb. I originally titled this that I got two same side shocks which if they were both oriented the opposite direction, would be correct.

If you take it out to your truck and held it up, you will see right away why they are like that. Would of taken less time than making a thread about it. Yes I’m the asshole today.

@Asianguywithatruk if I'm doing something dumb then I deserve it. I've tried fitting them but they don't want to go easily.

You're right though I wasn't thinking of the fact that they're angled opposite of each side. I was just trying to fit the driver's side first before moving to the passenger side

Here's what I'm talking about. It won't really fit this way. (I really do hope I'm doing something incredibly stupid)

The reservoir tube blocks it from going all the up. Same with the other side. It would fit so easily if they were both flipped 180 degrees.

@deuceb I think your being thrown off by trying to have the reservoir both point towards the front. The reservoirs are supposed to point in the direction they lean. That would mean you need to take the shock that's in the pic out and turn it so the reservoir is going the other direction.

Fact check me @johntoyota and @YamaDirtrider but won't he have to trim out that top shock mount to accommodate the resi fitting? Just like we had to do with @kwolf9202's install

@08BajaBoy that would make the reservoir on driver's side be pretty much where my hanger is in the rear and all the pictures I've seen show the reservoir on the driver's side goes forward because the part that goes into the frame to hold the reservoir needs to be drilled in there. I'll take a pic with it going the correct way

@deuceb actually, just looked at my truck. Reverse what I said. My driver side points towards the front. You should be able to rotate the shock body relative to the shaft and eyelet.

Kris' were Icons though because they never moved the fitting down to accomodate the third gen tower. I did not have to trim mine for my King's.

looks like the resi's are both pointed the wrong way... passenger side points to the back, driver side points to the front. The 90 degree joint at the shock should be facing out towards the tire.

@WormSquirts thank you! I know I'm not the smartest but I'm not crazy!

Can I just loosen this bolt at the shock and flip the reservoir 180 and tighten it back up? I really don't want to mess up the shocks or have fox or accutune deny me a warranty.

The other option you have is to use the (usually) included piggyback bracket. Then you just mount the resi to the shock body, in which case, the resi's can be oriented either way.

    editted for accuracy

I got a bracket that attaches to the frame similar to the icons.

    Well this is annoying.

@deuceb no. Do not loosen. Contact Accutune.

@deuceb your best option right now is to do the piggyback option. Can you rotate the shock body relative to the lower eyelet?

This, had to do it from the shocks I got from accutune. Just be very careful to loosen just enough, don't want to loose any nitrogen charge or oil.

@deuceb post 8 from that link indicates they do rotate the fitting. You can probably do it yourself but, the post came from Headstrong.

    A. They work with this stuff all the time and even said they run these shocks.
    B. Have the tools and equipment and fluid/nitrogen to recharge if it happens to relieve the pressure.

    Up to you...
