My Fox shocks reservoirs are both pointed the wrong way and I can't install them

If it were me, I would just turn them after reading through that thread I posted

I feel pretty confident turning them but I want to wait and get the ok from accutune in case something goes wrong. It seems simple enough. Thanks for all the help guys.

You need to rotate that fitting to get your resi oriented correctly. The hex is a lock nut that needs to be loosened but you’ll risk loosing fluid if you’re not careful. I’d call Accutune and see what they are willing to do.

Thanks @desertjunkie760 yup these are too expensive to just experiment on. So fucking frustrating.

I guess I'll put my offroad shocks back on for now. I should only be doing street driving until I can get a hold of them

Calling @*TRD* if you see this before you get back in the shop, please advise.

Your shocks are correct. 1 resi goes forward and 1 points to the back of the truck. The resi outlet faces outboard of the shock mount.

This picture should give you an idea on how they mount. IMO the resi hose should be in more of a straight line.

@TMFF if you look at post 4, you'll see that if he simply rotate the shock body, the fitting will be pointing towards the rear. But he is showing us the driver side. The fitting needs to be rotated 180.

@TMFF Yeah 08BajaBoy is correct. I should update the original post cause I think people are getting hung up on my stupid title. When I wasn't thinking it all the way through. I would have expected my shocks to look like yours after install, but there is no way I can install them that way with the reservoir pointed in its current direction. So I'm waiting on @AccuTune Offroad to chime in and say I won't fuck things up adjusting it myself, or to send it back while my truck is on jack stands. Luckily I was only planning on doing some fun driving this weekend to test out the lift, and I don't absolutely need the truck yet.

Called accutune and they confirmed the reservoir needs to be flipped. Thanks @WormSquirts for that link to the thread. That's exactly what I'll be doing. Hopefully won't take to long to finish up now and I can see what fun awaits me with the fronts! My garage setup only has room to do half at a time so I might be driving a few days with just the rear done. Should be a pretty sweet looking rake going on.
