thanks guys, it sucks but this kind of stuff is all part of the game

the bolts were poor quality. prob stock. i bought the LT kit used and when i picked up the parts the LCA and spindle were still attached so i never touched these bolts, just torqued them to spec. big over sight on my part, but o well.

the LCA got scraped up a bit but it's fine, the fender is mangled to hell, i'm gonna have to replace that. but over all, it wasn't that bad, just sucks big time.

it could have been worse, i was on the freeway 10 min before it happened...

so since my truck is down for the count at the momnent i figured, might as well get the rear end done... so, i'm gonna drop off all my parts to the shop today and let them start in on some rear LT building :D

I would think the bolts were at least a grade 8. Should be a 10.

I realize that I probably don't need to say this but taking from the aircraft biz - most important tool - a torque wrench and it is always a good measure to get new hardware... very cheap insurance.

Not gonna lie I wouldnt have even thought of those 4 bolts breaking. But I guess anything can happen when you jump your truck! lol. Ya I'll make a mental note to upgrade to better hardware all around when I go LT one of these days...

And it would not hurt to replace that hardware on a schedule.

As far as jumping the truck regularly? Ya that probably wouldnt be a bad idea to check everything out probably once a month?
