I used to run Volks on my CRX Si rice rocket racers and Preludes etc.
Not my cup of tea on the trucks, buddy of mine has a set on his Tundra Pro
and they look great !! Just not my thing since I did it with smaller cars in the past.

Great, very logical build. As an Engineer, I appreciate the logic part. It's how I make all my decisions. Going for that same look myself, albeit an Access Cab 6MT.

Thanks man much appreciated , its hard when you over think, I started school for engineering but I despise math,
but enjoy basic math calculated with logic. Also im too impulsive, wasted a lot of money on trial
and error in the past. Post up the AC when its done........... BRO =)

JBL is available on OR and there's a list of reasons why even though you seem to be convincing yourself of, you may want 4wd over 2wd, resale being a big one. Truck looks good though.

    Thank you !!

However resale factor doesn't really apply ,

You pay 3k more for 4x4
    You pay more gas
    You pay more for maintenance

So long term you don't make and might even save with a 4x2 when reselling - granted 4x4 might sell faster but in long run won't bring in more money when calculating money spent

Nice try, again spin it how you want. There is more value in buying a 4wd Tacoma and more return on your depreciating asset over 2wd, especially given the price difference as you allude between the two new (about $3000), not sure where you get the maintenance end (take it your not a mechanic/wrench yourself guy, no offense) as the difference again is negligible up until 100k plus, even then and the mpg difference is also hardly different (1 mpg between the two). Again. Happy for your choice, it suits your needs, but numbers wise all of your above logic is skewed/flawed. Maybe one of the used car/dealer guys in here can help. They have tons of numbers real world to show this, been discussed here before.

In post 87 he already admitted that he tried engineering in school and hated math...

Don't give him a hard time for his intellectual deficiency

I am sure OP also writes /// when he mentions his M powered cars

That is the equivalent of flat bill hat taco ricers as well....

Stereotypes exist for a reason and this person has checked all the boxes :)

Trying not to knock the guy, but facts are facts, numbers are numbers, maybe a crossover or ford explorer or something but 2wd vs 4wd Tacoma, his logic with overall cost to benefit ratio is a bit wrong. Not saying he made the wrong choice, but instead of trying to justify it, just say yep didnt need 4wd moving on rather than try to argue numbers/logic. Eh, no worries either way. I had a 2wd pre runner in AZ but I couldn't afford 4wd at the time and didnt know better, 4 tacomas later I know 4wd is almost always the better option to go with these trucks.
