Hi everyone. So a while back, one of the straps on my gas tank rusted out causing the gas tank to drop a few inches. I have since gotten a new strap, and holstered the tank back into place, but ever since then I have been getting a 441,442,446 codes. My inspection is coming up so would like to know the first place I should look for this? Something on the top of the gas tank that might have gotten yanked loose? Not tryna spend 500 bucks to get this smoked and fixed when I can honestly just tape up a hose or something.

    Thanks for any help!

I would drop the tank and inspect all the tubes and wires. You may have pinched something as you put it back up.

I bet either when it dropped or putting it back in place the vent hose or the line to the charcoal canister got pinched .

If any of the lines cracked you would smell gas fumes around the truck all the time do you notice them

My guess is one of the hard line sections got bent. Based on the codes, most likely at #14 since that is part of the charcoal can system. By the way, I had trouble finding anybody to sell me that part when mine rusted off. I ended up fabricating one from tubing and a large washer. Later I saw them on Toyotapartsdeal.com 77018-35020 for $20.55. Better check MY compatibility. That was for my 1995.
