Sounds like you done fucked up. In almost 15k miles with my ‘21 not once has the PCS system caused any kind of autonomous interference.

You laugh. I drove my Tundra for three years and 45K miles. I got more for it than I paid for it. Times have changed since 2016.

You two saying that you paid the dealer to permanently break your radar? Like they can't even turn what they turned off back on.. You have to replace it completely if you want to go back?

That's the craziest purchase I've ever heard of on here if so. You may as well have just shoved a screwdriver through it for free

OP, Did you have to sign a waiver before your dealer disabled a safety system? It doesn’t make sense that they would go right ahead and do that just because someone requested it without some kind of butt cover.

What Toyota publication states that if PCS and radar CC is disabled regular CC should work?

Having to buy a new radar sensor to re-enable it makes no sense to me, unless the old one was removed and thrown in the trash, or there were some other physical modifications done to it that disable it. An ECU wipe and reset back to factory settings and firmware would seem to be an easy way to get things back to what they were.

T-SB-0026-20 covers both of your questions. It requires that you sign a waiver and says that constant speed cruise should still work...

No - disabling TSS. I have modded the piss out of my truck, and it exacerbated the issues I was having, It still worked (had to fabricate a custom mount) but the constant clean sensor messages got annoying.

I'd like to see someone do a mod with one of those tiny wipers they used on Mercedes headlights.

Thanks for the information. I guess the dealer missed the part about verifying constant CC before completing the TSB. OP didn’t mention that there was a TSB completed improperly. Might have been a more useful discussion if he had.

    1. If you don't consider money spent (lost) on upkeep/taxes/license/insurance
    2. The replacement vehicle cost eats up any imaginary gains
    3. Prove me wrong, go buy a new 2022 Tundra and see if you can repeat that in 3 years

If the person selling the vehicle, in this case "the dealer" doesnt know then how would you find out? Who's responsibility is it?

Plenty of lousy advice and criticism here. Dealer represents the vehicle in a particular way, its not my job to know. I only knew enough to ask if these things could be turned off. The dealer doesn't bother to train staff, its sink or swim. Then when they make the modification they neglect to mention it eliminates cruise altogether. Pretty disgusted with Toyota, Kendall and this vehicle. I am beginning to loathe it. Should have bought a Ford.

Did the dealer complete this TSB for you? If so, it looks like they didn’t verify that constant CC was working as part of the TSB. They should own up to their error and make it right. Or, did they just disable the system on your request without referencing the TSB?

I had that info and brought it to the managers attention, claims my truck is different. The tsp does not call.out specific models. Furthermore he went on to say the TSS could affect the ABS and the yaw sensors. Now I have little faith in the dealers knowledge and have lost faith in this vehicle.
