Correction. The 2nd gen Frontier Nismo has coilovers, but they are shorter and narrower. Not progressive either. The Frontier's frame rails are 10-1/2" to 11" off the ground, while the Tacoma's is 13-5/8"

Not surprising. I hardly see any Colorado's and Canyon's on the road.

In 09 I bought an V6 access cab (can't remember what Nissan calls it) pro 4x with a 6 speed and I absolutely loved it. The inside was great, the bed rail system was great (has rails on the bed floor which tacos don't) and it was nice and powerful.

In October of '10 I wrote the thing off. The reason I chose to switch to the Toyota was that to get the things I really wanted in the Nissan like auxiliary audio input, bed liner/composite bed, I had to go with the pro 4x. Whereas with Toyota I could get a 2.7 4x4 SR5 for significantly less. If I felt like I needed the power of a V6 truck I would definitely consider the frontier as much as a tacoma.

    Just my .02

I'd have just upgraded the stereo for $120 instead of getting raped on changing trucks.

Not for the 3rd Gen 4runners. $60 Dana cooler solves the issue however.

Does the Frontier have a dangling transfer case? Or did Nissan find the time to be bothered with tucking the transfer case, engine and gas tank up above the frame rails?

One thing I do notice, when I'm driving my Taco and I'm bouncing all over the road and I look over at a Frontier driving next to me and the guy is sitting in his seat smooth as silk. Makes me wonder about Toyota's suspension engineering. On the other hand the Frontier is butt ugly.

Had an '08 Frontier SE 4 banger access cab. Wasn't a bad truck but I hate the turning radius. Other than that no complaints. Got it cause it fit my budget at the time cause i desperately needed a truck. Got rid of it though cause I've always liked tacomas, plus i wanted a v6 and needed 4 doors. If my Frontier was a v6 and 4 doors I'd probably still have it

Expo blasted the Tacoma for it's shock valving stating it was clearly designed for on-road use (Off-road package).

Also. Looking at the pictures, a Frontier has all its guts tucked still unlike the Tacoma. So that's great that a Tacoma's rails are 3" higher but when the transfer case hangs down 4-5" past them... who gives a shit?

Toyota really did not put the thought or effort into the 2nd Gen Tacoma that they did with the trucks they built in the 80's and 90's and it shows. There is a reason they only Sell Tacoma to Mall going fat Americans while the Hilux is sold else where.

Mind you the Frontier is a global truck that competes with the Hilux. I wish I would have given it a consideration when shopping for my Taco. Damn you 4runner.

I'd like to think you're trolling, but I know your not. Either way, I'm not feeding into this desperate grasp for attention.

You need to have your suspension checked. My '06 Frontier road a lot rougher than my Tacoma does. Frontier would jar you over a bump.
