soooo, back in March 2016, I decided to buy a new vehicle for myself since my wife was pregnant. We had just gotten her a 2015 Rav4 back in November and i realized that I probably wouldnt be able to carry my Daughter in my Tacoma. Well, I wasnt about to get rid of the truck so I decided to look at getting a 4Runner. I wanted the V8 and I kept seeing the GX pop up while I was searching. Never heard of it, so decided to look into it and find out at the time, the GX was generally cheaper with a similarly equipped 4Runner with around the same mileage. Well, rather have a lexus so thats why I got the GX

Here is the GX around the time I bought it.

First "mod" I did was put in some USB ports in the back

Next was SCS wheels and Lift. I got Ray10s in Dark Matte Bronze. The lift was Radflo coilovers up front, MetalTech long travel springs w/ Radflo Shocks in the rear. Also, got MetalTech Lower links and Icon Upper Links.

Once i got back from Korea, and before moving up to Washington from Colorado, figured i should get new tires too.

Jumped on a group buy and got a Lenzdesign dorkle. liked this one alot better than any of the other options. i guess i got lucky cuz mine was decent quality compared to theirs.

next I decided to get a front bumper and sliders. got a demello offroad front bumper and sliders and also put on my extra winch I had laying around.

Decided to get "rid" of the woodgrain and vinyl wrapped most the wood grain panels. the panels that are on each side of the radio, i didnt vinyl wrapped and got the silver ones from a toyota landcruiser prado. the vinyl matched up great.

Decided to move my ARB twin compressor over from my truck to the lexus. Used a mount from a guy over on TR4.org to mount it. its in the back of the engine bay on the passenger side.

    new steering wheel cover.

finally decided to regear and lock my diffs. well if im going to do this, might as well get a bigger rear diff while im at it. Regeared to 4.56 with harrop E-lockers, rear 9.5" LC rear diff in a Diamond Axle Stock replacement housing.

Seen you in the GX470 thread, just stumbled onto this one. Looking good. Gearing/lockers are on the docket for mods soon. If you don't mind me asking, what did the housing, gearing, lockers etc cost?

think i was in about 8k? 2700 for the housing with shipping, around 5k for the regear and lockers and 600 for the rear diff since i didnt have a 9.5lc diff. ended up doing other stuff after the fact like axle seal, new cv axle on the same side.

if you went diamond, order it first. took like 2.5 months to get and very little contact from them when you try and get intouch with them. i ended up getting a hold of them on IG about any update.
