My hamster KEN!

I have a beardie named Frankie, he might want to meet your friend Ken

 

Ken passed away this morning. I miss him already

Thank you! He is the second hamster i have had that was over 3 years old, its hard

 

They never are just pets, they are a member of the family.

I love rodents. I raised just about everything before I moved out here. Now, I just have a bunch of pet rats...and twelve babies. Ahh.

 

Well he is in Hamster heaven now livin' it up. You had a good run with 3 years.

 

My brother's had a very adventuresome life; he was quite the escape artist (probably my brother forgetting to close the cage). One time he got out he haunted my older brother at night, my brother swore there were rats/mice in the house, then one night he felt something crawling up his leg and through off his blankets screaming like a girl only to find it was Chewy. His last stint at escape apparently he got into some rat poison or something, lost him for a few days, but then he was found dead near the dogs water (probably trying to get a dtink). The next day my little brother took him and buried him on the side of the house, no lie when he threw dirt on him, he saw the dirt start to move. He was still alive but grasping for it, ended up dieing the next day. Quite sad but funny in its own way; the way Chewy would have wanted it.

I had a hamster when I was younger. I bought him or her at a local pet shop for $20, I would also get his food there. Until they closed so with out knowing what to do I began to feed him SALTED sun flower seeds. He died a week later. I didn't know you could get the food at any grocery store. I felt awful. Still do even though it was just a hamster I guess I still feel that way cause it was such a strong feeling for a kid it just stuck with me.

Thanks guys! This is the second hamster I have lost in about 3 months now, both of which I had a pleasure of having as part of my family AND was able to have for 3+ years! I feel blessed that I was able to have them as a companion for such long periods of time, guess I was doing something right with them
