Hey, I had a question about your headache rack. I have a 2005 tacoma sr5 access cab and have been looking at installing stainless steel or aluminum bed rail caps with later welding a custom headache rack on. I can't find cap rails for anything older than a 2005 because i've heard that the bed is composite. Is that the reason for attaching yours to the utility rails? There is no way to attach a headache rack to the bed rail caps that can be attached to the bed?

I'm not sure whats under the plastic bed cap, but it just made since to use the factory rail system and most do not want to drill holes in there bed to mount stuff. I'm sure what you're talkin about could be done though,you would just have to start takin stuff apart and see whats under stuff thats all
