some of this, a little of that
There was another post in the 3rd gen area from a member having this same issue. he posted it was due to the headliner being cut a little too short. You can ask @clord74 here in his thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/headliner-issue.441102/ not sure what the resolution will be although I can't imagine them not taking care of it. Good luck

Sweet! Another 3rd Gen problem that's not motor or transmission related! Woohoo! LOL

OP - Hope the dealer doesn't hassle you at all. That's definitely a bumper to bumper warranty issue.

So far no hassle. They will notify me when the new one comes in and send it out to get replaced. Blah Blah Blah

Thank you for the response. I checked out that link and it seems like this is more common in the summer heat down south.

Great news... They got the new liner sent in to the dealership and had me fixed up in half a day. They did send it to an outside shop to have the work done but picked it up on the day of repairs and delivered it back to me at work... No problem. Herrin Gear Toyota in Jackson, Mississippi.

However, I will say this, on inspection of new liner - it seems to be cut the same as the original headliner and have already seen the fraying of the fabric sneaking back under the plastic/ rubber seal.
We sill see how long this new one lasts.

    Still love the Roja Taco.
