Man, Tacoma's in WA are a lot more expensive than what's been quoted in this thread...

In any case, I'd highly suggest you take any 6spd that you are interested in for a good long test drive. I'm very unimpressed with my 6spd...

I'm not AaronK, but I'll chime in. I hated mine. It shifted rough and the gearing is alot different from my old truck. Just WAS NOT fun to drive at all.

Yep, same complaints here. I can deal with the odd gearing, it's the rough shifting that really ticks me off. Every so often you'll get weird clicking type noises when you let out the clutch and the gear changes sometimes feel like your driving a transmission with shot syncros. There's also the engine rev deal... while annoying, I can deal with that.

    Rain Visors,

I am having a baby, and did all the research. I was going to get the DC, based on the stuff on here, but then met a guy around the block from me that had his 8month old in the back of the AC. The baby will be in my truck 1% of the time. I just need the ability to put her in there if i NEED to. so The AC will be just fine. Plus i am not willing to give up the bed space.

As for the 6 speed issue, true it doesnt drive as nice as the auto. But I like it. I have always had a manual. And i just like driving them. They are esy to work on, cheaper, and I have always gotten better milage. Even sitting in traffic it's annoying but prefer it over an auto.

I know i can get an 09 for about that, but i like the 08's. Not a big fan of the head rests in the back. and i like the fold down rear seats so my dog has a flat surface to sit on.

As for the price this is what i've found so far on toyota's used website. I am willing to bet if i low ball them i can get a better deal. I'd rather get an 08 with 15K on it for 18500 then an 09 with 0 miles for 24XXX

I love my DC LB 4x4. If you don't need the LB, save some gas and get a SB.

I was dead set on a 6-speed until I drove the 5 speed auto...

I bought an '09 DC TRD Offroad w/ the 5 speed auto and it has outperformed my expectations in every way...

    Rain Visors,
The thing is I am trying not to take on a payment. If I can find an 08, with less then 25K for about 20000 I'd be happy. I would buy one from a private seller but that leaves me with an extra car. A dealer would be great because I wanted to trade my older car in, And I think I will get more on a trade then private selling. But I think I could get a better price from a private seller....

I completely understand... I traded my '05 Ram for the same reason... And, the fact I got my '09 for the price of a used '08... :D

    Rain Visors,
It just sucks because They only offer 0% on new cars. And I really don't like the back seat of the 09. I have never seen them in person but the head rests I don't like and I loved the way the 08's folded flat.
