So my wife and I were due to have our first child on September 9th. My wife was later diagnosed with gestianal diabetes and had to see a high risk doc once a week for stress test and ultrasounds. We went to see her doc yesterday for her stress test and he discovered my son wasnt moving or very active like he should. Because of fear that the cord was wrapped around his neck, they decided to do an emergency c-section. Baby Wyatt was born yesterday just before "Hurricane Irene" was due to unleash its furry (lol) on delaware. He was born at 3:01 pm on August 27th, weighed in at 8lbs 0oz and was 21in long, and was 2weeks early.

What is your crazy baby story?

When My Mother was Pregnant with me (1980) She Woke up in the middle of the night and I was pretty much there already. She Called for her mom and there was basically enough time for my grandmother to call for an ambulance and then have the person on the other end of the line Walk er through my birth. I was my mothers first child and apparently the easiest. She always tries to hold over my head that she went through 2 whole labor pains giving birth to me. All her other children managed to make it to the hospital and went on for hours. That's my interesting birth story and congrats on you own!! Don't be afraid to pick up that baby The sooner he gets used to you holding him the easier things will be for you down the line.

Thanks for sharing this. I logged on this morning for the first time in awhile to complain and ask for help because my truck was vandalized in the storm. This post here was the first I saw and clicking on it, reading about your new baby, puts it all in perspective. Congratulations, man. A long and happy life to you all.

Congrats, I just had my first 10 months ago. My brother and his wife had their baby boy on Sept 11, 2001. It was a crazy day and weird because everyone was watching the news footage in the hospital room. I always think at least one good thing happened that day.

Also my daughters birth was a bit hectic. We had just finished painting and moving into our new place and the next day my girlfriend was randomly sent to the hospital during a routine check up. We ended up having to be in the hospital for a week and she was induced 7 weeks early. Our daughter Emily was born 3 lbs 8 oz and had to be in the hospital for a month. That was the worst month of my life. Now she is a crazy little girl and a ton of fun.

Good luck with your son and have fun with it.
