My initial thoughts (test drive)

So i decided to take one for a test drive n stopped by toyota of oxnard (they had 5 of them, 4 sports n a trd OR)

I test drove a TRD Sport 4x4 DCSB as it was the closest to the 2013 DCSB trd or 4x4 that i have.

First thing.

QUIET!!!!

Holly hell the interior cabin noise has been cut down SIGNIFICANTLY! It was truly amazing how well they did in that department.

The interior was nice, things were in the right spot, dash a was nice, all in all the upgrades inside were just right compared to my 2013.


Motor n Trans....

She likes the revs. I dunno if it was due to the much quieter interior but she just didnt feel like it had the low / mid grunt of the 4.0.... but like stated its MUCH quieter so sound could play a big factor.

In normal mode, it plays the "race to tallest gear game" obviously for most mpgs, as such you get some hunting.

ETC power on, it hangs on to gears longer and feels more sporty, as it should.


Brakes....

I dunno how you guys deal with the vacuum boosted setups on all the non TRD OR 4x4's .... the pedal feel on my truck with the electric brake booster is so much more positive on my TRD or 4x4 vs the sport.... But thats how its been before the 2016 models... so i cant fault the truck for that.

Overall impressions, damn good truck
