This is the difference between my focals and the stock door speakers. Absolutely no comparison in the weight and the quality of the stock speakers compared with the focals

The can of sprite weighed more than the rear door speakers

Are they simple plug and play? Or do you need to do some trimming or mounting stuff?

I got them from crutchfield and they include the speaker adapters to the doors and they also include the speaker wiring adapters.. very simple to install. While I had the door panels off I installed sound deadening to the door skins and the inner door panels to keep the vibrations to a minimum.just remember that when you swap out the stock 2 ohm speakers to new 4 ohm ones you will definitely need a larger amp to power them.

    Really?
It's possible although I'd double check the settings and make sure you switch on the compressor function. It nearly doubles the sound output when I'm running Spotify.
You could try out the customer support that may also have suggestions to assist with Pandora.

I used electrical tape to completely kill the speaker and am torn if I'll keep it blocked out or not.
I wasn't sure if this was possible as AA seems to take over every time I start the truck.

ive got big, big, big things coming & in the works.....
wont be cheap, I shouldnt be doing it, but I got to have it....
Im pretty much done other than when baja design finally "in the works" comes out with their s1 fogs / pods for the pocket under the head light, as im not doing that gay fang light thing....
But if I'm taking the bumper off, would be dumb to not go all-in & replace the lower fogs too....:spending::crazy:

Or just spend some time playing with the equalizer and stereo balance. Took a few minutes but I have mine sounding perfectly uniform and balanced to my ear in the driver's seat, with the center speaker attached.

But if you leave it how it comes factory, it's horribly unbalanced and vocals are insanely biased to the removable. Shame on Toyota audio team for that one

What do you mean? There are no balancing options that make the front less center-heavy - the options are as basic as it gets. I still think it sounds better with the center than without, but it would be ideal if you could turn just that speaker down by about 30%.

I put tape over one of the prongs. Sounds much better.
