    Ban?

You want to keep your truck so file a police report, give the report to your insurance, pay your deductible and in about a month or so your truck should be fixed. What's so hard about that?

    .
I can't help but to keep thinking that the OP's accident has more to do with alcohol than he's letting on, it doesn't take much to impair your judgment, a slight miscalculation is all it takes.

You could pull them out with enough work, but I'm pretty sure no shop would do that due to liability. I know guys that have done that on their own. Didn't report the accident and didn't deal with a body shop. Not pretty, but it gets the job done cheap.

I think it was the better part of a month and half in the shop for mine.

People get into fender benders all the time and don't involve the police. While I would call the police every time if I was in a fender bender since there's another party involved, there is no way I'd call the police if I slid off the road into a ditch and could get out.

"Hi..Police? I was being a dumbass and messing with my phone and I swerved off this deserted road into a ditch. I can get out OK, and I know it's late and all but could you come out and give me a ticket for reckless driving or something? Thanks!"

    Just understand this

We are going by observations on what you've said and what we see...You can say it looks consistent to you, but i'm the one certified in collision reconstruction

I'm not bashing you or hating you or outright calling you a liar...i just think there are several issues with your story, indicating that we are getting a partial truth which is basically the truth tweaked to get people on your side and deflecting fault elsewhere

    just my observations

If it happened EXACTLY like you said, then fine, but i dont see it and you probably need to learn how to react better in emergency situations

I've been called 2 weeks after a private property collision (which is all I respond to because i'm not HP) and been told by callers that they tried to file without calling the police, and insurance wouldn't fix it without a report

    also

    Does it suck? sure

Am i glad you're ok and the truck isn't an incinerated hunk of metal? absolutely

But the truck will be able to be replaced or fixed and you can use this experience to learn from...in whatever way you can

I'm sure that's true. Was it because there was some dispute or injury or fault to decide, perhaps? As I said, I'll always report it if someone else is involved, if only to cover my butt.

I've also called the police and had them refuse to file a report or even come out because we've been on private property. So, if I get into a fender bender in the grocery store parking lot, I'm just SOL and the insurance company will refuse to pay since there's no report? I don't think so.

I had a hit and run in a grocery store parking lot before, police report was filled, insurance fixed my door with no problems.

thats all ive been saying. i dont know if that is proper protocol or what but its in the past now so im just gonna wait and see what the insurance guy says

ok thats cool. sounds a lot less offensive that way. i appreciate it. im dont doubt youve seen a lot of these things but everyone of them is different right? no 2 the same? at any rate as ive said the title is an exaggeration although i do feel really dumb for all of this and i know i am very lucky this is all that happened. i just posted this thread for opinions on the truck

wow thanks buddy. i never said it was a joke mostly because this wasnt about that since i was not driving drunk. all i wanted was opinions on my truck and the fact that you refuse to believe me or even attempt to read the thread and have a calm logical discussion about it makes you the ignoramus.

ive been coming here for quite some time now. i enjoy sharing information and trying to contribute to help other members of this forum. and i have always remained respectful. so as i have said before if you dont not wish to see this or have anything constructive or positive to say you may get the fuck outta my thread

i also hope the same for you
    7/10 for trolling
    cool story bro
