Napa police are looking for three men in a red Honda Civic suspected of carjacking a truck Tuesday morning.
At around 6 a.m., Victor Quintero was dropping off his children at a babysitter’s on the 400 block of Seminary Street when he saw a red Honda Civic pull up next to his 1999 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 pickup, which was parked with the motor running.
According to police, one of the suspects pointed a handgun at Quintero’s head as he returned to his truck. Two suspects then entered his truck and drove off.
Police canvassed the neighborhood, but could not find the red Honda Civic or the stolen Tacoma, Sgt. Ryan Cole said.
The green 1999 Toyota Tacoma’s California license plate is 5Z17289. The truck features a white tool box in the truck bed on the driver’s side.
Quintero was not injured, police said.
Anyone with information should call Napa Police at 257-9223.

the carjackers are lucky none of us saw them, i was amazed to find out how many people in our neighborhood (including myself) also own guns and were keeping them loaded and ready to go after there was a rape last year.

yea i know the laws, but in this instance i could go blasting away at the carjackers if they are pointing a gun at the vehicles owner.

yeah........that sucks! but if california would allow more citizens to carry concealed weapons, and protected them from criminal or civil prosecution for using said weapon against an attacker, things like this wouldn't happen as much.

The county as a whole is nice, but the city its self does have a certain criminal element to it, the worst neighborhoods are wilkins ave and westwood ... and riverside which is about 7 blocks east of here isnt great either.
