Some cage work pics, almost done! Windshield top, bottom and pillar rolled tubes, roof top rolled tube also, just missing rear of seats tubes and 4 roof tubes.

It has more stuff done to it now.
So what ends up happening with all the interior trim panels and roof liner? Does it all get modified and go back in or do you end up doing something completely custom to clean everything up on the inside?

any reason that the frame is not plated where the cage makes contact? Also, any reason you didn't build off of the frame to land the cage tubes on instead of on top of the frame? Would have been just a little easier without those last Benz and that awkward angle it hits the frame.

They add a lot of strength. If you kick sideways at speed and roll, the A pillar takes a whoopin'. Another reason...trees. I know most of you are dezert dawgs and that's not an issue. My neighbor had a caged jeep on 40's, no V bars, and happened to slide off the road and down a steep bank at low speed. He endo'd just right into a tree, collapsing the cage in the center. He did not survive. http://www.kvewtv.com/article/2014/nov/17/single-car-fatal-crash-umatilla-county/
