I am with you! The 4Runner is so so so so much better than the Tacoma when it comes to seating position. I wish toyota could figure out how to replicate it in the tacoma. sigh. That said, Yes, the Desert Does It leveler really really helps. My only complaint that remains is I wish I could get the stupid steering wheel about 3 inches higher. ugh. But, as far as comfort goes, I think that the leveled seat is transformative for my back. Still not the 4runner, but much much better because your butt doesn't sink down so much lower than your thighs. I tried a few different heights (the kit comes with three different sizes) and ended up finding the right combination for me). I hope it helps! For the money, it is definitely worth the try! With the power seats, you should only need the rear levelers (not the front risers, which were really helpful prior to the power seats). Let me know if you have any other questions.

thanks for the info! yah i posted in another thread earlier about how toyota should adjust the overall size of the cab so it can be closer to the size of the T4R. it's overall roomier and more comfortable. (but i still like my Tacoma better from an overall perspective )

Beautiful truck! I want to do the exact same to mine. Can you tell me where you ordered the lift from? And what wheels those are with the offset etc? I appreciate it as I have a cement tacoma I just bought and would love to set up like this! Thanks a bunch

Thanks so much!! I got the suspension, AAL, spacer, and diff drop from Wheelers Off road. They were great to work with and super responsive to questions I had. My wheels are the Fuel Blitz 16x8 (gloss black) with 4.5 backspacing and +1offsett. Here is the thread on tacomaworld where I discuss them in more detail with pre/post pics and such:https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fuel-blitz-wheels.685948/

Yeah, I got them at Tuffskinz. I like them because they have pretty good lateral flexibility (i.e., they bend nicely when going over things and yet are quite rigid otherwise in good ways) and so haven't given me any problems while offroad. You can get them in lots of different colors. I decided to pick up the red accents around the truck. And, I would MUCH rather keep the rocks and mud under my truck than have it chipping the paint off the side of it!

I have these Tyger's going on in a couple weeks. My first thought, in regards to the step, was to go with that sandpaper topped tape that they use for stairs and stuff. Thoughts?

That might work and be really cool looking. I did the harbor freight pads and they work great, but you do have to reapply the gorilla glue every few months, which is not a big deal, but something to keep in mind. The sandpaper tape might adhere more permanently. Report back on this thread when you get it done and let us know how it worked!
