Maybe so but if I can point out what the issue is and get my truck back then I am doing it. I don't care if I hurt someone's feelings in the process. This shouldn't happen on a brand new vehicle.

Edit - they have already replaced a bunch of items that didn't solve the issue so they are obviously grasping at straws here.

I know it’s already been mentioned, but check out your cab mounts. It can sound similar to suspension clunking/thud.

Correct. Every state is different. In my state it needs to be in the shop 3 times within 6 months for that. I would need to pull it out and take it back........Im hoping that's not the route this is going so lets just plan on them figuring it out. ;)

Dealer called back and said it would be fixed by tomorrow morning. I said great what was it and she replied " 5 suspension items". All the parts are here but the tech is in training. Once he is out of class he will finish it tonight and you can pick it up in the morning".

I find it interesting that they fixed the problem with parts they have not yet installed :). So we will see tomorrow morning I guess and I will post what the repair order shows were the "5 suspension items"

    Yeah, good luck.

Unrelated question, are there any other dealers in your area that you could visit?

Then they are just guessing and now are hoping the sunshine treatment will make the clunk go away.

To anyone who believes the dealership has been working on his truck for four days now is not living in reality, do you really think Toyota is going to pay a warranty bill for four days of "diagnosis" ?

service rep said they had to open a campaign with Toyota since they couldn’t initially find the issue. I assume that took some time.

Yes but that would require me to go into portland. People who live in portland dont even like it there. For now I will stick with where I’m at.

I feel the OP's pain. Had a 2018 Grand Cherokee with 200 miles on it when the CEL popped on. Was down for three weeks while they diagnosed the problem and replaced a cylinder head. Sucks, especially on a new vehicle. I started the Lemon Law process because it passed the 15 days out of service threshold under Florida law. When I did the required Lemon Law notification to the manufacturer and the State, the backordered cylinder head miraculously appeared at the dealership via FedEx. By the time we got to the inspection by Chrysler's district rep for one last opportunity to repair, it was all set to go. So while I didn't get a new vehicle the Lemon Law did help light a fire under Chrysler, so mission semi-accomplished.

oddly enough I also went through a lemon law back in 2001 on a ford ranger. It would burn coolant ever so slightly and I had to fill it again every month. They did multiple pressure tests for 15 mins but because it was so little it always passed. My suspicion were it was a small headgasket leak but after 6 times at the dealer I went the lemon law route

You only have to turn the wheel maybe 1 full rotation( not full lock). It will make the noise weather its hot or cold. I swear its got to be an issue with t he sway bar endlink. The suspension doesnt even have to really compress.
