Just trying to understand because it has yet happened to me; but when you write "why should you suffer financially" - are you not compensated for your cost of the vehicle from the manufacture and then get to capitalize further by then trading/selling the vehicle to someone else (private or dealer) unaware of the underlying issues? I agree there is something wrong with the process and especially with the manufacture for not taking the vehicle back/tagging it appropriately rather than leaving it in the hands of the current owner to do what they want with a now free and clear vehicle. Is the dealer you traded the truck to the same dealer you were working with to correct the mechanical issues; or did you go to another dealer?

Looks like the ultimate fix was loosen all body mounts and recenter the cab.

Just like I said in post 45....

Anyone else who has this issue will continue to have it if this isn't done. Glad you got it sorted....if only toyota could figure this out during manufacturing

It's fine at the factory. Nothing is torn yet.

Plenty of that also. Noted it earlier:

You need to understand, regardless of whatever you paid for it, that the Taco is designed by Toyota America, is not sold outside of NA, and is thee entry level Toyota pickup. We are the bottom feeders for a really good, but really utilitarian, pickup.

Beyond that, the fix is easier at home. That is not only my opinion, but a fact of what I did myself. When new, I had some minor stuff that I took care of in my garage versus get frustrated at the dealer.

Good thing the dealer replaced the front shocks only for me to put 5100’s a few days later

Amazing that your truck had both issues discussed.
Great that you got both issues resolved!
What do you have the Bilsteins set at?

So you have a 2" lift/leveling. I have almost the same. But I'm running the 887 coils with a 2" add-a-lift in the rear. 33" tires.

My ‘20 does this too, but I’ve only ever heard it when it’s cold (winter season). A faint clunk or two when making a left turn at a very low speed. I should probably take mine to the dealer and mention body mounts as being the likely issue. I don’t think this issue has any effect on the reliability of the truck…… it’s just annoying. Funny how the cold weather brings out all the little rattles. My dash rattles a bit in the winter too. Warm weather? Absolutely nothing.

I just found this TechTip when looking for another TSB. Kind of interesting. It looks like Toyota was researching the issue, but still hasn't really fixed it on the line.
