The previous owner did all the work. He does one a year and then trades um and starts over. We paid 31k for the truck with 20k miles. Spent a grand in shipping it from Portland to TX. Thanks again for all the suggestions.

Ya, I know its an RCD, but those fronts are not Billies. They look like Icons, but I dont know how that would work.:notsure:

Well RCD are for 4.5" of lift & 33's so you could fit a CO meant for a 6" lift, giving you a little more lift for 35's.

Oh, is that what solus said? He's on my ignore list for good reason then.

Yeah, I agree, they didn't look like billies to me, and it sorta looked like he had aftermarket UCAs. I guess they could be, but those springs look new (or at least painted) too, so I thought Icons.

Yeah, Im stickin with my guess of Icons. And it looks like there are total chaos ucas in that pic that show the front/side.

I just looked at the pic again, and they def look like the Icons that I have...they are def not billies, the lower shaft is flat and black, not round and silver (which would suggest icon), and if you can see the threads at the top in that side pic, also suggesting it is a c/o and not new billies and springs...just saying.

I agree, but I dont think the 3" lift Icons would fit in an RCD lift bc it gives like 4.5-5" of lift. Im thinkin he has to have the 6" Icons, maybe cranked down a bit??? I guess we will just have to wait until the op takes closer pics.

Yes, it is. I don't know with what though. I just got the phone number of the guy who owned it and did all the work on it. I plan on calling him and asking a few ?'s

If you look in this pic (6" Icons), you can see they can actually be cranked down a little bit, so he might have these cranked down for maybe 5.5" of lift...

The guys citing looks as the main reason are off point. Synthetic line is lighter, stronger, easier to handle, and safer than steel cable.

Weight is an issue because of winch placement relevant to suspension. Strength is an obvious benefit. It's easier to handle becaues it is soft and pliable. It's safer than steel because when it snaps it doesn't fling back. When a steel cable snaps it can kill.

Oh, by the way, nice truck OP. You got a good deal for the amount of work put into that truck.
