She's a 1996 CBR900RR Fireblade (Or the 919 depending what corner of the world you're in)

The taco carried her with no issues and tailgate down in my SB.

And since this is the internet and people like to fight I'll say this is my first bike and she's quick, have fun :D

    Nice bike!

    That's not a 919 though... The 919 is a naked bike. :anonymous:

    +2 sort of.

In the states it is known as the CBR900RR as well. I don't remember a CBR919RR but I guess it could have been used though. I do remember Honda changing the name to match the displacement on the 929RR and the 954RR.

No it's not called a 919 but that is the displacement. Here in Canada (maybe the US too) It's called the CBR900RR Fireblade

    I had a '97 900rr (US market)

    899 cc ending with '97

    919 cc '98 - ^ until the 999 cc rr stepped up

if you think yer '96 is fast...
install some 39-40 mm carbs... header pipe...
taller gears, slight diet (under 400lbs)

you'll want to hang on tight
because the new top speed will be nutz ;)

great bike... last honda mtr with steel jugs
loved mine... wish I still had it.

btw... the 899 was capable of 165 mph off the showroom floor.

lose the 16" front wheel for a 17"
be ready for head shake if ya push hard
I had a damper on the forks, helped some.

    Guess i've just confused myself.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_CBR900RR
    Calls it a 919.

What's the advantage of the 17" wheel up front? I've read about doing that, is it just to make buying tires easier?

16" front tires were popular for only a few years...now 17" is the standard. On the other hand BMW put 18" tires on in the mid 80's and selection is not that good.
