I was a busy boy this weekend, let me know what you think.

Started with a long night on Friday taping off all the lines and sanding the clear coat.

What a feeling it is to take sand paper to your new truck lol

We then in the morning looked over all our work, did a thorough clean, and polyed off the whole truck.

I had bought some vinyl letter inserts by BD trims and taped over them so I could get some contrast on the tailgate. This ended up looking very good and was very easy, add long as you have a steady hand and take your time.

Once everything was set, it was time to posti. I had access to a shop at work with a large compressor to use the posting gun. I recommend buying a regulator for the air pressure. I used 42psi to paint.

And after a half-hour dry time, I took the tape off before it was too dry and hard.

I'm very pleased with this project, I'll post more pictures in better light, but right now the truck is going to stay put indoors for the week as to let the paint cure. I'm up in Alberta and winter gets in early

The raptor liner seems like a fantastic product and I'm very impressed with it. This cost me about $500 all in, I feel like it would cost me a few thousand to get it done professionally.

That is commitment! I like it, why not do the rear bumper too?

Looks amazing. I did close to the same thing, only used Plastidip as I was afraid if I didn't like it, I'd have something permanent on there and couldn't change it. After having it like this for 3 months, I'm most likely going to make it a permanent option. NJ, that lettering though.... Holy patience. Now I'm gonna have to try it.

edit: my rear fender is done also the same as yours. Just didn't grab it in this photo when I did it. Didn't think to do the tailgate like you did. Guess that's my next addition.

I didn't do the rear bumper because I will be adding an off road rear bumper in the future.

I'm not a fan, but I showed it to my wife, and she really liked it. Good news for OP, as she has better taste than I do. :anonymous::bananadead:

I like it! Blacked out headlights would tie it all together really well.

Very interesting idea. I could never bring myself to paint over a perfectly good paint job. I bet it does a great job protecting the body panel from rock chips though. Nice work!

I certainly was nervous about permanently altering my truck, but I do drive on gravel a lot and was already collecting more Rick chips then I care to count

    Ho lee Fuk.

Not my thing, by a damn sight.

I'd consider spraying the whole truck if the paint was shot out though..

Different strokes for different folks, and all that..
