No sunroof means no purchase for me. 2025 changes should be interesting.

Understandable. I will say the TH feels like a cocoon in a good way. The lack of sunroof helps with the heat and on loud freeways. But I do think it’s a nice thing to have.

Awesome!!! Put those 465 pound-feet to work! The KO3s are actually not as heavy as the Falkens and may in some cases be lighter than the KO2s in the same load rating (E). Good choice.

    Very nice

Mexican border? Or different parcels of land ownership? clear line with less vegetation on the right, assuming more cattle grazing.

Not quite but pretty close - about 2 hours from Mexican border. Yeah that’s a neighbor fence line. The variation in vegetation is more cedar tree management differences between landowners although there was some cattle on one side long ago and that might explain some of it.

Thanks, spent a lot of time on the Mexico/Arizona border, reminded me of that. BLM has been doing juniper management here. https://idrange.org/range-stories/southwest-idaho/reducing-juniper-for-cattle-and-sage-grouse/

    All stock.
Not sure if you like them?

I just traded ‘22 6-spd stick v6 at 76,000 kms for ‘24 non-hybrid auto. Both are great little trucks. Miss my manual some days and glad for the auto other days. Got 11,000 kms on this one so far and only a couple annoyances/issues.
The ‘22 had NO issues with anything.

Has anyone seen the track width of the TH/Pro documented? My 22 pro was 64” (all other 2022 trims 63”). I have scoured the internet for something in print that shows the TH/Pro track width, in particular compared to the other trims, but can’t find anything—just commentary it could be 3” wider than …the other 24s? I’m not talking about overall width—my current truck is 2.7” overall wider than the 22 pro.

I am sarcastic. There is circle jerk of negativity here that I respond to with the titles to my trucks. Finally starting to see useful information flowing now that there are more actual 4G owners. The usual characters are so boring and now easier to step over and around.

The only problem I had with the 3G was the mismatched engine/trans that bronco bucked up long hills/mountains. Not going to miss that. Other than that, never left me stranded. Took me to 43 national parks and countless points in between. And when I traded it away, without the frame rot I was promised here, it was in great shape.

Here's to both of us having great times with our great trucks.

I put a deposit down on April 22 with my local dealer a few days after I got wind of an announcement. Production had not begun. I know from lurking in the 3G RCI thread that they produce them in batches. I wanted to travel this fall, so didn't want to miss the first batch. August 21 is when the dealer got it. So I don't know how much of that time is production ramp up time or delivery time.

The circle jerk of negativity runs far and wide both here and on YouTube. You’d think turbos were just invented. You’ll see me posting right here as I learn more about my TH. I will take it out to the ranch in October and push the angles to their limits and document what I learn. Count me in.

43 national parks. Only 10 more to go. That’s an admirable accomplishment ATMO.

Thanks! But, there are a few more than that. And I will have to leave the Taco behind as some of them are only accessible by boat or air.

Never had any real issues with my 3rd gens as well. Went through several snow/ice storms, and moved a ton of crap when I moved. I did get tired of the automatic in my '21 so I found a super low mile '22 6MT in 2023. Found out after a year I really didn't like driving stick anymore. Was going to get an automatic certified used '22 or '23, but they were the same price as my '24 SR5. Glad I went that route though.

The 4th gen hate is hilarious at this point, buy people who haven't even driven one. I wasn't around for the 3rd gen launch, but I'm sure it's the same thing all over again. I just scroll over those post. If something fails, that's what warranty is for. An inconvenience, sure, but will be taken care of.

My 10 year old son found that crawling under the truck - I’ll find out if it’s the spring or the extra bump shock seat

Sarcasm doesn’t usually translate well on the internet, I tried a little with tacorancher and he got a little tweaky.

True there is a circle jerk of negativity on here, but isn’t that what make Tacoma World great? Need people pointing out the flaws, and there are some, which has been true across generations. Always something Toyota does or doesn’t do that leaves you scratching your head. Like why in the hell did they put a smaller gas tank on it and what is up with the exhaust routing that looks like a Windows 98 screen saver???

With all the traveling you do, surprised you are tolerating the small fuel tank, like most everything about the new 4G, that fuel tank might be a deal killer.

Looking at the specs on paper, the TH probably isn’t the best choice for a travel rig.
