So, I just bought my first Tacoma; a 2013 TRD sport 4x4 double cab, lifted with TIS wheels and Toyo tires, so far I'm happy.

Can anyone advise on any issues common to this model year or is there anything that I need to watch out for?

This is my second Toyota (I also have/had a 2011 Camry I bought to be a gas saver but it was stolen by my wife).

I've admired the Tacomas from afar since they came out but for whatever reason always stuck to Chevys (2 S10 4x4s followed by 3 Z71s).

Quick story about the memory that brought me to the Toyota side.
When I was a kid, two of my (much) older brothers had the old Toyota NoName 4x4s, one had a silver 91 and the other brother had a red 92. I remember being about 12 and in the passenger seat of the silver one when my brother decided to drive it upstream in a good sized creek. At one point, the water on my side got almost up to the windshield because, as he put it "sandbars are for p*****s". He reneged on that thought, put it in reverse and backed right out, never had a problem with it despite many other similar bad ideas.

I don't have any intention of a similar adventure, mostly because I don't have the money he had but I figure if he kept his 8 years and it was still kicking when he sold it, then I shouldn't have any issues.

ETA; forgive the fisheye in the pics, I used my FoPro to take them.

Based off the skid plate, I guess it's a Rough Country lift.
It is a good bit taller than I wanted and also taller than it looked in the picture on cargurus, but it was the best deal within 200 miles of me so I bit the bullet.
Once the current tires need replacing, I'll probably downsize an inch or two and may even find a smaller set of wheels (I'm not a fan of $2000 dollar tires) then I may look at easing back on the lift. For now, the ride is tolerable at speed but I wouldn't want to ride 5mph everywhere I go.
