Good point and if you live in a state that gives you the tax credit on your trade-in you are even in better shape.

Doesn't matter to me one way or the other but if you are even remotely thinking of trading that truck in you need to ditch the dirty ashtray and butts you show in your photos. Majority of folks are going to sit in that and immediately say 'Nope - truck stinks'.
Not bagging on anyone who smokes but that's just the way it is.

If they have an even remotely working sense of smell, they’re going to know.

Smokers don’t realize how much their cars and houses stink.

What do salesmen do nowadays? If it's all online ordering, or getting a spot on an allocation, and nothing on the lot to test drive. Any questions a customer could possibly have can be answered on the manufacturer website. Internet sales, and chat bots probably correspond to more inquiries than an actual salesman. There can't be as many sales, with the amount of vehicles being produced, and dealership costs to profits have to be taking a hit with inflation, even if the average sale price of a vehicles has gone way up.

Yep, keep smoking in it and they'll be brown in no time. I hope you don't dump your ash tray out at traffic lights.

You'd be surprised with the laughable low ball offers dealers give. I had one offer me 34k for my mint 2020 with 10k miles. (immaculate service history). Out of curiosity went to carmax and they offered 41k, 42k carvana and vroom. I agree with you OP should leave it as is and sell, order a new truck.

Pull em and paint the stupid things with some black Plasti Dip and be done with it. It’s not rocket surgery. Your truck doesn’t suck.

I wouldn't really say the truck sucks over a minor accent color. If it was this bad in your mind you should not have taken possession of it until you confirmed it could be remedied. At minimum you should have had the salesman put this in writing. If it means this much to you cause a fuss and push them to replace the panels and have the truck in the spec you agreed to. Maybe demand a Pro

Find someone local who wants to swap panels with you. My truck is red and I would in a heartbeat!

Try talking to an upholstery shop instead of the salesman. They would likely lay down new material all together. My father in law bought a brand new F150 Platinum and just had the interior color changed from tan to black. I'm sure they could handle some panels.

wouln't be my first pick in color, but it's not bad looking. The smoking in a new car is the biggest problem in that truck tbh.
