I am equally as confused. The wheels and front trd badge seem all wrong.

the TX is not a designation for a "Texas" edition, but if you want to keep believing that go right ahead. the rest of us will just quietly laugh at you :)

that link is to something GST made up for that region only.

this is a TX TRD :

also to add, there is a thread in the 2nd gens about the TX / TX Pro / TX Baja's

and I guess understanding isn't yours. calling the texas edition the TX would step on Toyota's marketing of the actual TX versions. that's why GST says "Texas Edition" instead of "TX".

All I'm saying (that I've said all along) is that if someone says they've got a '16 TX edition it is reasonable to assume that they mean Texas because TX is common shorthand for Texas (outside of the hardcore Tacoma community obviously who always address letters longhand) and rather than look like a pedantic dick I chose to just roll with it. They may be new to the make or brand and honestly, who gives two shits? Oh right, I know who does, and ignored.

the first time I saw a TX Baja was on a used lot. I was really confused and thought someone was really digging the baja scene in Tejas. which i didn't know about.

"TX" still means "Texas" to me.

Yes you can get the emblem off eBay, and they make the grille look much better for about $10.
