Picked this a few weeks back from a friend of mine. I told him two years ago if he ever wanted to part with it let me know. Well he did and I couldn't be more happier. I comes with a lumber rack as well. I had pictures prior to installing the camper yesterday but I lost my phone as well as the pictures. I will take some more pics when I get the camper off. It has the ride rite air bags but am looking at up grading all four corners at some point. She is pretty much unmolested.

Completely Stock except for Ranch 5000 Shocks and Struts.
Nice Truck. Make sure you check it for frame rust.

Sweet truck! Any pics of the inside of the camper? How much does a camper like that cost?

That's a nice 98! Camper topper is interesting as well. Bet it rides pretty good with that weight back there.

I will have to get pics of the inside of the camper later. It comes with a small fridge, three burner stove, sink, and a propane tank. Small table and bench seating inside. Bed is up top and there is a vent fan. No toilet. Very good condition. I am unsure the value on the used market. They are hard to find used for small pickups so I would guess around $2k. The truck has 213k unmolested miles on her. Auto, split bench, dif lock, ride rite air bags, 31x10.5x15 rims and rhino lined bed.

Tires are fairly new so I plan to run them for awhile. Plan to transfer the aftermarket rims from my 4runner over so I can put the Tundra brake mod on. Also plan suspension up grades to the 4 corners, grey wire mod, etc.... It does ride nice Xbeaus, I was initially concerned about the extra weight but it rode smooth.

Not bad, what suspension? Looks leveled even with the load in the rear.

Thanks. I was concerned when I went over the other day to load it how it would look. I agree it does rest level. I have the ride rite's aired up to 20psi and monroe shocks!:(
The front springs I believe to be stock and the rear may have had the leaf pack TSB.

Love it. Does it lower your MPG by a lot?

Nice. I am also curious about MPG and how much it weighs all together.

I just had it put on at his house and drove it home. About 30 miles. It might be awhile to get actual numbers. I have an elk hunt I will be taking it on in December but it is only about 40 miles from the house. Straight up the mountain:eek: I may top off and see what I get. As far as the weight I was told by my friend it ways in around 500. I think that might be a low estimate.

He bought it from another Taco enthusiast who used it on his 4x4 outings. I have a dump about 12 miles away that I can go to with it on and check my weight. I will post when I get the chance. Also, my friend had me take the tail gate off because he said the back door would get hung up. Not sure why so I am going to put it on and see what the problem could be. The measurement from the edge of the bed to the end of the camper is 14". The tail gate is 18" So my tail gate would stick out 4" past which is fine with me.

My wife and I spent the day setting up things in the camper for an elk hunt in December. Here are some pics. Not the best camera. I have more pictures but this should give you an idea.

How’s this camper worked out for you? Is there a model # for what palomino camper it is? I have a 2000 and am on the hunt for a small camper. I was actually googling them and came across your feed here.
