Finally got around to ordering wheels for my new (to me) truck. I had a heck of a time settling on a wheel choice but when I finally did I decided on these. I called up Dustin at FNwheels.com and he was quite the professional. Explained my options and we settled on this set of 16x8 Countersteer TypeX's. I had really wanted the bronze finish but they were going to be a few weeks out and I was ready for wheels now. Although I like the matte black I think I'm going to refinish them in a bright silver. For now though, mission accomplished, I no longer look like every other white tacoma on the road :) The wheels came well packaged, super fast shipping included. I can't recommend Dustin and fnwheels enough. Will do business with again, for sure.
Lastly, I realized yesterday in my haste to grab some pictures of the wheels mounted up why I couldn't find any really good pictures of these wheels...they are hard to photograph! Especially on a white truck...the image sensor on the phone wants to white balance to the truck and washes out the wheels in every picture...another reason I want to refinish them so you can actually see what they are :) Enough blabbing - here's my filthy dirty truck with her new shoes mounted up.

New toys arrived on the same day! Bilstein 5100's and a 2" AAL in the Toyotec box, new wheels in the other!

    These things are beautiful...

Stockers at the garage...also took this opportunity to flip the tires white letters in. I prefer the plain look :)

    My first look...

Hard to photograph correctly! Just means I need a decent camera lol.

    Decent shot

Hands down one of my favorite things with these wheels is the offset - the stance is so much better than the factory wheels...

Even with the sun to my back, still hard to get a good shot....

Last one. I'm going to clean the truck up this weekend and hopefully get some better sunset pictures when the light is better. I was just antsy to get some pictures up. Again, big thanks to Dustin at FNWheels - those guys rock.

Good looking setup. It's awesome what a set of rims can do.

Now on to bigger tires after the lift is thrown on...

Great looking truck! We have a heck of a time getting the black wheels to show in photos too.

Lookin' forward to seeing your truck lifted and the wheels in their custom color too!

    Looking nice!!
So those are -10mm offset with 4.1" backspacing? I'm in the market for some new wheels and i like how far those stick out.

These are actually 0mm offset with 4.5" backspacing. I personally think they offset perfectly! Just enough "poke" without being obnoxious, no spacers required :)

Got my lift installed on Friday - in the shop today getting the wheels and tires rebalanced (the original shop did a shoddy job on the balancing) and an alignment performed. I love the look now - almost "just right" - just need a tad taller tire and I'll be happy but that's going to have to wait until these wear out and need replacing. I couldn't be happier :)

Awesome! What did you do about the TPMS? Could you use the original ones? I heard they are expensive (like another $250 or so).

I reused the factory TPMS sensors - they swapped right over. No issues at all.

Thank you! Your truck looks like a much younger brother to mine! :) I wasn't a fan of the facelifted 2gens until I bought mine and now all the ones I see just look so much...newer! :D Sharp truck.
