We do Katzkin seats here at my shop and it takes me, by myself, about 10-12 hours to do front and rear of a vehicle. If you do it yourself DO NOT start on the front seat first. Especially if you've never done it before. You don't want to expend your learning curve on the seats you see the most. Just my two cents :)

I did not use any hog ring tool. It maybe easier with it. I alway use a needle nose plier. The key is to be patient and take your time if it is your first time doing it. I can probably get one seat done is a couple of hrs now that I know how everything come off. If you have any question send me a pm or post on here.

Definitely on my radar! Buddy did plain black in his suburban and man the quality is top notch. With the cement taco been leaning on a close matching grey with black being the main color and the red accents.

Install looks great but i have to ask why you didnt add the heated seats while doing it?

No I don’t have heated seat. My plan is to try to add OEM heater down the road. I know that Katzkin sell a kit for roughly $100 per seat.

Decided to do the armrest too. I didn’t know the stock cover piece is made out of molded rubber.

Looks like you still frequent the forum. So did you remove the rear center headrest cover since it was clipped and not glued like the fronts? Can you pop it off and see if it looks similar? The factory cover didn’t have huge cutouts I believe like these (exposing foam)

I installed the new leather cover over the existing headrests. Initially I tried to removed the front before I realize they are glue on.

I knew the fronts were glued, it was only the rear center that was removable (I didn’t even know about the rear left or right at the time, which ended up being glued also) so since the center rear was the only one I ended up deciding to remove the leather then reinstall the factory and then leather over top. Still need to get a steamer for the wrinkles but it’s looking good
