I finally got to see a 2024 SR Access Cab today and that’s the one I will buy next year after I get some money together. I have a 2016 Access Cab 2.7 4X4 since new with nearly 80k miles and no problems. Love it! I like the full size bed and a little space behind the seats. No towing and rarely have a passenger. Time for something new. Thought about a Rav4 but this truck today sealed the decision. Before 2016, I had regular cab Tacos and I didn’t appreciate their going away. I really don’t need the suicide doors in my current outfit and this new model takes me back to the good old days!

The one problem I see is Toyota has jacked up the price and I probably have to come up with more than 10K to pull this off. In ‘16, I only paid 28K OTD for a really good SR5 that still drives like new. So I may not do it (I’m cheap). If I do it, I’ll try and sell the ‘16 on CL. Tacos still bring high resell prices her in NorCal. Main reason for this thread is to say I really like that SR. I could buy that truck.

Yeah but the Blue Book on Gen 3 is so high right now it means you can hit the Automotive Reset Button fairly easy if you have one that's 3ish years old and in good condition.

I drove my 2023 off the lot for $33k.

I know in this economy money might as well be Monopoly Money or Zillow Dollars that are all made up but still trading Made-Up Money for Made-Up Money still works out. I'm keeping mine because I like it, but if I needed to trade or wanted to trade it would be an easy swap.

The sr is the bottom of the food chain … spending that much on a basic Tacoma is bonkers and I guarantee u won’t be satisfied with a base model .i would shop around get a higher tier one .deals can be found just need time and patience.

What is the wheelbase difference between an access cab 6' bed and a double cab with 6' bed? Can't be much due to no leg room on the doubles!

My new OR is so much more truck than my 2016. Power train, seats, camera system, suspension... the list goes on and on.
