My Nuts are swollen...

    ... said the pretty lady at the Costco Tire Center when I had my Michelins in for Balance and Tire Rotation. She held one of my nuts and showed me how the the socket would NOT fit around it.

    She then showed me my other nut which completely exploded when they tried to impact wrench it off.IMGP6263.jpg
    On @Crom 's build thread, Nick highly recommends these black nuts. I bought them a while back and tossed them in the truck. Told the Costco lady to put these steel nuts on and we will never worry about swollen nuts ever again.

    Not sure. But I always use a long breaker bar when I mess with my nuts. None of that brutal impact wrench stuff for me.

    My nuts swelled up until all 24 of em busted.

    Got a new set of nuts and I was good to go.

    Dealing with the same issue on mine. Supposed to use a 21mm socket. About 1/2 require a 22mm....

    and those babies are COSTLY if you go to Toyota.
