Just some dumb regular crap everyone else has
Stupid question, but why at 2207 miles does the oil change light even come on? I thought the OCI was much much longer than that. I always thought that light was a low oil pressure light and that the maintenance req'd light was for OIC and other stuff. Guess I need to RTFM.

You need to change your oil a minimum of once per year regardless of mileage per year.
For areas with seasons its best to change in the spring as the cold weather of winter impacts the viscocity of the oil.

But No the light doesnt come on until 5,000 miles.

Me too. Was hoping for a Taco that matched that guy with the 1,000,000 mile Tundra. He had a 4.0 in it too.

at that rate you should roll over to a million miles in about 15 years or so.

That is your low engine oil pressure light. Not oil change. I would be worried if that light came on in my truck.

Edit: or maybe your truck is not running and it is illuminated because the key is in the on position.
