The Rear End on 2017 Automatic that they gave me to test drive for a few days howled at around 50 MPH, hoping the Manual wont do the same.

I'm not going to be surprised if it does, to be honest, I've read that some manual owners are also reporting the same howling.

I know the gear ratio is different so I was guessing that "may" make a difference.

    Funny!
I'm reading but yet to assimilate the DC/SB ,D SC/SBC codes. Great job on this site for direction. I love it. However, thru the credit unions and costco sites the packages and add ons are wildly varied. So I went for bare bones. Hopefully best bang for the

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
FWIW -- I ordered a Blue SR5 AC AT 4X4 With only Tow back in early Dec. Just yesterday got a build date of 30 Jan.
I think Toyota's entire marketing system is designed to deter one from ordering. The Butheads want you to take what they have, including all the stuff on the vehicle you don't want or need.
Toyota should take some marketing keys from their smaller business partner -Subaru. It took only 4 weeks to get a 15 outback limited in our hands when we ordered it.

I really wanted an ACOR Manual but they don't offer it any longer so I ended up having to go DCSB, just hope I can deal with the shorter bed.

Exactly, too bad you cannot get the ACOR with a Manual or I would have went that way!

In a weird way I am kinda happy about the wait on my order cause it should come in right after winter is over, that way my old truck gets all the salt and brine.

Gratz on the order for your Tacoma and welcome to TW!

I picked up my 17 MGM Auto DCSB OR around Aug 10, 2016. It was exactly what I wanted and it had been delivered that day. I think I got lucky even though I was going to wait another month to buy so I could increase the down payment. I really think the tow package option is worth the cost for the other additions it adds to the truck, even though I don't plan on towing. I also feel lucky because I havent really had any issues that are present on this site. The trucks been great since day 1.

Also check out the DFW thread, we try and have meet ups monthly. We had one yesterday with a pretty good turnout. Heres the one that seems to be replacing a previous one because the OP went MIA for a couple months, then got banned last week and control hasnt been given to another member yet https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-come-bs-for-now.466446/page-14#post-14093951.
Heres the previous one also that may continue to be the main one we use if a mod changes control to another member: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/dfw-bs-thread-meet-date-1-7-17-details-inside.442133/

Your welcome to join even if you havent received your truck yet. We usually just grab a bite to eat and chat the trucks and anything else for a couple hours.

Good job on the new truck @TPMO. I came from a 2011 WRX Hatch and I see from your profile pic you have a WRX too - great cars! I ordered my Taco (seems to be the easiest way to get a manual) during the 2nd week of July and received it on Sept. 26th. The wait was hard, but worth it. Welcome and best of luck.
