JK! I sold that, and now I have a 2004 Tacoma! First Tacoma, pretty excited, but a little stressed, cuz my baby came with a surprise check engine light/OBD II code this morning. However, that is a post for a different thread.
    Details:
    2004 PreRunner
    2.7 4cyl
    Auto
    BRIGHT red
160K (Hopefully will run for another 140K more & be ready for all the adventures)

So, just a little putt putt truck, but I'm stoked about it! Also a little stressed, since there is already something to fix, but hey, that's vehicles right.. Gonna go look for a Seattle/NW Washington thread and ask around for a good mechanic. I don't have the tools or know-how to tackle this on my own currently, but luckily there seem to be a lot of folks who like these Tacos and know their way around them. Cheers. PS- will try to post a photo later on!

    Welcome!

A code reader is super handy to have around. You can pick up a cheap one on Amazon or Walmart for around $20.

Many things can be fixed with little to no mechanical knowledge with the help of the folks around here.
