MPG is still about 16-18, all of my driving is short trips in the hills here in Julian. it was only getting 18-20 when stock so it's not to bad. A good low range trip is in store to see if a re gear is necessary.

no but i plan on it. the cool thing is there is a hilux snorkel that fits pretty good on the 2nd gen tacos. the cooler thing is the air intake on the 2.7 tacoma is in the same place as the hilux so it takes less plumbing issues than the 4.0l.

there is someone on here that has done the snorkel install on the 4.0

I have one on my FJ, other than drilling that big ass hole in the car it's pretty straight forward. I'll check the aussie sites, thanks, Cris

There will be DO sliders soon, just got the MBRP muffler installed with a high tail pipe. I'll try to post some pics of it, sounds good so now I'm always on the red line!

Here's a crappy picture of how I ran the muffler tailpipe, it's up and out of harms way.

How does the muffler sound? I've thought about redoing the exhaust on my 4-banger but I'm worried about it sounding ricey.

I like the high setup... Actually let me correct that. I like your whole freekin' truck.

Well 4 banger w/ muffler I think it's hard not to sound "ricey", my 19 year old son said it sounds awsome so it is most likely ricey. Thanks for the compliment, it's only going to get better.

I was looking at possibly getting one myself. Which one are you getting? The Mule?

TO fit the top of your truck if you have the factory rack you need to get the mega mule. but if you get a Yakima or Thule either one will fit...Check out Frontrunner these are slim line racks and look clean but they don't have high sides which can be a drawback.

Over a grand for a FR, mine is a low profile rack made for my shell and is very similar to the one for the 2011 4Runner, you tell me what you want to put a BajaRack on and I can get you a deal. This rack should be around 600 bucks and is a bargain for what your getting. I live up in Julian ans had some bad weather today so I didn't get to Vista today. Shooting for tomorrow.

Funny thing is I talked to BR over the email and they said they have a basket made for the Tacoma which is between the Mega and Mule but priced at 450...didn't make sense to me.
