:eek:Dude I don't know what to say. I highly doubt they will total it. I highly doubt you want it repaired and repainted. No punt intended but it sounds like you're stuck between a rock and a hard place. Any off the wall ideas? Yeah maybe one...try to find undamaged body panels at a junk yard. Going that route, the company can pay for a full detail (clay, wax & buff) on all your entire vehicle. It sucks either way. I hope you're satisfied with the decision you make. Take care brother.

Here are a couple of pictures. They don't really show the damage that well so you all will probably think I am exagerating. However, if it was yours at it was brand new I imagine you would feel my pain. :(

you have to remplace windows , rins, and have a good bodyshop and ask for live garantie ,we know that is to sad but go with some spacilist no some bodyshop with no reference. And more cheaper is your truck. And the insurance sould provide you with another car .Be sour that the insurace take care...

The adjuster came out yesterday, she was very friendly and helpful. So far she has it at $6,250 but she is waiting to find out the cost for a new inner bed since it has some dings as well. That should put it over the $8,000 mark by the time everything is finished. She also told me that I may be eligible to get something for demunization of value since this definitely hurt the value of the truck.

I'm not sure about anybody else's experience, but I would definitely take this to the dealer. You can ride them until it is done right and they can never come back on you and tell you they didn't do something. That truck is too new to go anywhere else.

I agree with the earlier post that there would be numerous stains on the seats.

It's in the parking lot at my office. I drove it to work again this morning. I'll be dropping it off at the body shop on Monday.

I always admired people who have an accident, or mishap and can get on the forum and talk about it! I would be pretty pissed, but it can be fixed or replaced. Don't want to sound like a cliche', but at least you weren't hurt.

I feel ya ! Got My 09 Taco on September 10 and got into an accident a week later!

But only two weeks later a great body man and 3 000 $ later it's just like new.....

I was pissed at first ....but now I can say it's broken in...and I won't have any worries going off road with it!

Some advice, Make sure the body shop is going to R&I all door handles, door glass, window glass felts, appliques, rubber moldings of any type. Also make sure to let them know you will be looking for tape lines in door jambs, under hood, fenders, tailgate, etc. And that if you find any, they will be refinishing those panels so there are no visible tape lines. Also make sure that they have a full downdraft bake spray booth. Let them know that you will be looking at the truck under flourescent lights, at night, so they will need to make sure that you will not accept ANY trace of fisheyes, or dirt specs in paint or clearcoat. Make sure that they put their best bodyman, and best refinisher on your truck. It will save them, and you frustration in the long run. Also let them know that overspray on ANY part of the truck will not be acceptable either. Also find out what basecoat/clearcoat system they will be using. Glasurit, PPG, Sikkens, is what I would want, but shops are using Sherwin-Williams these days as well. I would definitely pursue reimbursment for the loss in value of a new truck vs, one that has been damaged/completely repainted. Rest assured, if you try to trade this truck in the dealership will depreciate the value b/c of prior damage, and as they should b/c it will hurt resale. Actually, Toyota dealers may not even put it on their lot b/c of the prior damage, it will more than likely go to auction. At least at our local Toyota dealership, they only put REALLY nice vehicles on their used car lot. Any questions, just ask. Oh, don't fall for the Preferred Body of the Insurance Company line that you will get from the Insurance agent. I have seen quite a few body shops that have been "Preferred Shops" which turned out sub-par work. I just hate to see your "new" truck be "used" so soon after you purchased it. That sucks! Good Luck, Bill

Also make sure that they are going to R&I the entire bed of the truck so they can complete the refinish process properly.
