Thank you Sir, I like FJ's too. I traded my 07 FJC for this for practical reasons but I liked the handling of the FJC better.

Looks like my homemade iPhone holder/cupholder mount is a hit, no driiling and all from a discarded cap from a spray paint can

It's a MoblOrganizer clutter catcher. I put a "toyota" emblem in the front. You can tether it to the back or the bench. I just sat it on the bench and it doesnt move at all due to the thick fabric at the bottom. Not bad for $70.

So I've been getting a lot of PM's regarding my FJ Cruiser Shift Knob mod(pictures above). Instead of responding individually, I decided to do a short write-up: Sorry no pics(didn't know it'll come to this). This is for Auto Transmission application Things you will need: -1/2 inch double sided 3M Tape -Washer (metal or plastic) with a hole just big enough to sit at the bottom of the FJ knob on the shaft of shifter -Sharpie marker pen -Scissors -Metal Sandpaper -Super Glue(I used) or J-B Weld(preferred) You should know that the FJ Knob DOES NOT screw in directly to the shaft threading. The thread on the inside of the FJ knob is deeper than the shaft would allow you to insert and is bigger. So now is time to make up your mind if you want to press on with this mod, coz when this knob goes in there it'll be a PITA to remove. Okay, so you decided to go for it. First you have to acquire the knob itself (has to be OEM), I do not have the part number but the Parts Department on your local Toyota Dealership can get you this information, so give them a call or pay them a visit. E-bay has them too and if you troll around fjcruiserforums.com you will find a lot either for sale or given away by forum members I got mine from my previous FJC an 07'(any model year will also work as long as it's AT) which I shortened and put a Cue Ball mod. Good thing is I saved the knob not knowing I will be doing this mod in my Tacoma, I like it. Unscrew the OEM or existing knob in your Tacoma. Test fit the FJC knob by inserting it into the shaft. With the Sharpie pen mark at the bottom end of the shifter where the bottom end of the knob lines up. Take off the FJC knob. Make sure that the opening in your washer fits only up to this sharpie mark. JB Weld or Superglue washer in place at mark line. Sand paper the shaft of the shifter to remove chrome plating and create a rough surface all the way around and up to the threads. Remove ONE(1) SIDE ONLY of the 3M tape. Wrap ONE LAYER ONLY(make sure you don't overlap) in a spiral direction from the shaft thread to the washer (scissors will come in handy in this critical part). Do not remove the second red backing on the 3M tape. Test fit the FJC knob again by re-inserting it back into the shaft with the 3M tape. If done right it should still slide in with just enough contact when you remove the 2nd red tape backing. When satisfied with fit(it only took me 1 try) remove the knob. This time and this time ONLY should you remove the backing of the 3M tape then CAREFULLY insert and guide the FJC knob down the shifter shaft until the bottom end sits on top of the washer. Lastly seal the junction where the washer makes contact with the knob with JB Weld or Superglue. Presto, clean up and you are DONE !!! In summary the 3M Tape and the washer(JB welded) is what's holding the knob in place not the threads
