I don't get it, and yes a pointless thread. There are now 3, 3rd gens at work like this that I've seen guys start stock and build up, which is cool, I appreciate the effort and anyone's build whether my taste or not, what I don't understand is how you throw some weird eBay brand or ready lift spacers and blocks to lift it. But then sink tons of money into a light bar, rigid fogs, trd pro grill, custom decals, mud tires, fake slider steps, bhlm, etc. in other cosmetic mods but skimp and spend $300 on a spacer lift? Just dosent make sense to me. Then again these trucks are always pristine looking so likely for show/mall crawling, which fine whatever makes you happy. But if your gonna spend the effort, money and time why not start with a solid foundation for your lift. Now let the hate begin. :bananadead::boink::argue::crapstorm:

And I'm not judging or worrying about their truck, just an observation, thoughts and discussion here on an enthusiast website, the trucks do look sweet, all in good fun, lets try not to get anyone banned or thread locked, we can all make fun of each other and ourselves from time to time. Happy Tuesday!

Totally agree brother, let me spend $40,000 on a beautiful truck and put Hockey Puck Spacers and 2x4 Blocks in the rear. But spend half as much as my spacer lift on the Pro Shift Knob

If they had no other mods just the lift I could understand, but every few weeks its a $300 light bar or something else and that poor suspension remains, just makes me sad for the tacoma, maybe I'm a snob, I don't know, just some thoughts.

I'm with you. See the same thing with guns, too. Dude puts down serious coin for something like a Wilson Combat then runs the shittiest ammo he can to save a few bucks.

You missed the point. But again, to each their own, not judging just curious in the logic.

It happens in MX too. Guy buys brand new 450, slaps $1000 exhaust on it but dosent revalve or setup suspension properly, etc. crashes bike and can't figure out why its handling the way it is, but hey it looks trick and sounds good.

There's two crowds... those that buy for the look and those that buy for the performance. I imagine the thought process of the former is "why spend $3k on something that only gets me the same look as this $300 spacer lift... think of all the other cosmetic stuff I can get with that $2700 leftover." Is what it is. I certainly don't subscribe to it...my current plan is to get Kings and leave it at stock height on 265s

Did I? Is there a massive flaw with running spacers, beyond lets say, lessened ride quality? I'd suggest some want the improved ground clearance on a smaller budget and may be happy with the way it rides. OTOH, a lot of people are cheap and just enjoy the look. Needs vs wants, priorities etc...

Just for reference, my 07 had ome885s/nitros and dakars. My land cruiser has a 3 link with 2.5" 14" c/o's and air bumps.

I've been running spacers for 6 months now, front and back. Yes I do hate ride quality, I feel everything and anything I go over, but I needed something cheap for the time being because I was rubbing and I want to do CMC at the same time as me installing LT. Now on the other hand I haven't spent anything on steps or a new grill etc, I did purchase some Camburg 1.25 Uniball UCA's but have since sold them to a member because I knew it wouldn't be long until I go LT and I'm fine living with what I've got until then. I got mine off of ebay, they even sent me ones for a tundra the first time around, took another month to get the correct ones shipped out.
