If I ever get a moment I might try. I have a spare bracket and 2 spare tow pro elites, one for the '02 Tundra and one I could stuff in the '05 Tacoma but the thought of towing something with brakes using a 2.7L is kinda laughable (someday it'll be an EV/hybrid I hope).

If you order it and it doesn’t fit, I’ll buy it from you @Pixeltim

    Been thinking...

It might fit the 5th Gen 4Runner and maybe the 2nd Gen Tacoma... depends on the part the bracket bolts to and whether there's enough room to accommodate the controller.

If anyone wants to try, hit me up on DM and we'll work something out.

I have a feeling it won't directly fit a Tundra. In any case, I may be able to tweak the design to accommodate various models/years.

I don't have direct access to everything to prototype, but maybe I/we could figure out how to get that done. :)

    Thanks!

I installed my tow pro so long ago I can’t even remember how I mounted the box. Definitely need to order this because I’m a sucker for a clean install.

It's been forever since I logged in. I just found these as I was looking for a better bracket. I put an order in on the etsy link. Just wanted to say thanks for still making these available!

I wanted to put my switch in the same location - can you give any general advice about getting it there? anything to avoid, or move out of the way?

I opted to run the line from the brake controller to the dial up the passenger side A-pillar due to there being less wiring on that side, but it was pretty straightforward to do overall. The a-pillar cover comes off with a couple bolts(i disconnected battery prior to removing the cover to avoid possible airbag issues), and the overhead console comes down by gently prying on the sides to release the clips. You can easily tuck the wire coming out from the a-pillar along the front edge of the headliner to the center console.

If you need a switch panel let me know, somewhere in my parts pile I have a 2 switch overhead panel bought from Fitztaprint on Etsy that i didnt end up using. Its the one on the right--

Thanks for the tip! It might be a good time to do the tweeter upgrade if I've got the a pillar off. I've got an empty spot up there that I'm going to utilize, otherwise I'd take those off your hands! Mine's 2WD, so not much up top.

I got around to installing it this evening. It went very quick, but I'd pretty much memorized every video about installing it that I could find. The bracket 'just worked' and I'm glad I had it. No issues really, everything was pretty plug and play. I did find a good hint about popping out the blank in the console, I didn't have to removing anything else, I was able to fish the wire through with a stiff piece of coax that I had in my junk cable drawer. Powered up and shows blue, like the manual says it should, so I think I'm good to go. Just have to get the brakes on the trailer.

By the way, I have this wire that doesn't seem to be going to anything, any idea what it is?

For the inverter switch, I assume you do not have AC power in the bed?

Ordered mine yesterday. After installing one in the 4Runner with the Redarc bracket, I didn't want to use it again. Looking forward to using this bracket.

Nice bracket BTW, I don't have a dog in this fight, but if I may, just a couple of quick thoughts that may or may not help...

Thread added to bookmarks for future possible use...

You could put the link as your signature for all to see and it would benefit anyone interested as well as help you to not have to pay the ad revenue if/when used....

IF you have time and or wanted to, you could always hit up some salvage yards in your area and take your bracket for a test fit in different trucks and maybe even tweak your design to fit those.. a little cheap R&D if you will... again, just a thought, do with it as you wish...

Now available in Black or Red ASA to match the Tow-Pro Elite and Tow-Pro Liberty!

Still available in laser-cut 10-gauge 5052 aluminum as well. :)

Low stock right this moment due to a pending fasteners order. Give it a few days and I'll have plenty on hand.
