My Demello is off on both sides as well, but my issue is the bumper does not have even gap under the headlights. Adjusting has gotten me nowhere. I have been told that the tolerances on these trucks are very loose to say the least and what lines up on one truck may not line up on another. That doesn't look like the case with yours though since the passenger side is fine.

So your telling me that having NO washers at the bottom and having the bumper pushed all the way to the top is correct?

Please show us pics of your bumper installed and how many washers you have at the bottom.

:smack: No shit Sherlock - get a clue

Yes, they are fully adjustable. Seems these guys don't know how to adjust them down or fix the warp.

OP if your bumper is maxed out and as low as it will go elongate the (6) OE bumper bolt holes. I find this hard to believe based on your pics because it is adjusted all the way up in them, but who knows - maybe Eric did screw up totally and all (6) holes are slotted wrong. Mine are spot on and I have one of the first bumpers he made.

I understand the wings might not be level, but I can move mine by hand so I have no idea why they can't be heated and then bend it back in 5 minutes.

More bitching going on in here then people trying to give OP ideas to fix it. I refuse to pile on Eric so my intention was only to help OP fix his current issue. All the bandwagon haters that want to talk crap instead of help OP can bite me. I'm not joining your pity party.

you're still missing the point a little. the bumper sits level. mike's adjusted it with washers so the majority of the lines work out. sure you can elongate the slots, and space further as needed, and i'm sure you'd be able to get the wings level to one another (though the angle will still be off), but at that point, you've regressed because now more of the bumper is not level than before, like the light hoop and plate that matches the lower line of the grill. you're solving one issue by replacing it with another.

he also wasn't asking for help as much as he was just wanting to share information. that is why he created a review thread, not a help thread.

Why is it you seem to be the only one posting in here that doesnt understand that he has in fact attempted to adjust the bumper as described by previous posters???? Dont come in here running you mouth when you obviously have an issue reading and comprehending that of which you read. I believe Colins 1st 5 words of his post hits it right on the head, you are missing the point of this thread! And why in the world after waiting twice as long as he was quoted should anyone have to adjust something they just spent so much damn money on? I can understand the washers and all that, but telling someone who just dropped so much money that they now need to heat up the metal and try to twist it just sounds fucking stupid.
Again to point out how much you are missing the point, this thread was not created to be a "pity party" as you describe it, it was intended to inform others of the OP's piss poor experience in dealing with this company and how freakin ridiculous the wait time was and then to have such incredible fitment issues is stupid. He was trying to share his experience so others can be informed.

And Mike, i apologize for highjacking your thread, but there have been way too many posts in here that are so far off the point of your thread.

    Mike ,

I agree with XXXX that your bumper needs to be spaced down a bit or you risk tearing up your fender flares when flexing the truck .

With regard to the driver's side horn pointing skyward at the tip , is it possible to shim behind the front driver's side mounting location at the lower portion of the bumper , and force a rotation without changing your margins at the top of the bumper ?

I wonder if this would work with the aluminum bumper .

in theory, that's pretty much the only way to fix the issue, and probably worth a try, but i think you'll be hard pressed to gain anough leverage to bend such a rigid structure. you may actually end up flexing the frame instead.

x3 on lowering it though to save your flares.

Re-read what I wrote up there.

Adjust the bumper without touching the bottom. Not twisting, bending or whatever. With the 3 bolts on each side lose you can move the bumper up and down on each side, snug them up to hold the bumper in place. Once its set where you want it, attach the bottom again

Yeah I tried doing that hoping to rotate the driver side a bit. Playing with the washers only got me an extra **** hair's width of space, but it also made the whole front crooked. I do have a new idea I will try today though.

we have talked to him in person, face to face about it, and therfore fully understand his situation to an extent that is hard to reach via reading forum posts. we are not ganging up, but rather trying to offer different wordings and perspectives with the goal of helping a larger number of people understand the issue at hand and be able to visualize what's going on.

We are responding to the posts in here that are pointless, mike is a good friend of ours and very few people seem to understand why he made this thread. Besides a few like OZ and Rugged who are actually trying to help (which really wasnt the point, but i know is appreciated) the others are basically not understanding why this thread was made.

This thread was made just to share an experience. THATS ALL.

No, I totally get it, just got my rollbar/light bar done from this fab dude, took him almost 3 weeks just to get the bars bent, and then 2-3 days to weld it all together. It could have been done in about 1 afternoon, but he's soooo flighty, kept having to stand there and keep him on task to get shit done.

But it's along the same lines, he was so flighty because he was trying to work on another job at the same time...

Moral of the story is; Don't take on more than you can handle.
