My Satoshi Grill write-up

I just did mine this weekend, looks freaking awesome. What a difference it makes, next is to put some lights behind it.

 

I'm working on mine right now and I'm pretty impressed with the outcome so far. I never looked at a write up on how to do this until now lol

 

I like the new location for the horns. I have a black grillcraft coming this week. How is the temp sensor working out in the new location?

 

Works fine where its at. I've never noticed the temp readout to be more than a few degrees off of true.

 

Newbie question. Is the temp sensor for the engine temp or weather temp?

Its for the overhead console outside temperature.

hey where did you get the black clips that attaches the zip tie to the grill? btw what is it called?

im working on mine n everything was going fine until i got to attaching the grill

That looks great. Great job. Did you have enough of the material for the bottom grille too by ordering the 12x48 sheet or did you also have to order the 6x36 sheet from customcargrilles? I guess I could measure my grille and guesstimate, but I thought I'd ask someone who's done it who will know for sure. Thanks in advance.

 

You can order the top grill as a satoshi so it will already be pre-cut. http://www.customcargrills.com/products.asp?cat=67. Look at the link. Ask for the perforated SS. All you need to order is the 12X48 (I think). Sometimes you might get lucky and check the sprap on the right side of the web site

It took me about three days to get this done but was well worth it.

 

Do truck that are not equipped with the overhead temp Gage have this sensor?

THANKS. Make sure to be sand sand sand. I stopped early and you cant see it in the pick but there are some spots i missed. I thought the paint would cover it.

May redo in the future.
