    I used the same mesh. but like you said it's quite revealing so I doubled it up. same thing just a temporary thing.

    good idea on doubling up the mesh. I just got my sample pack in the mail from custom car grills so i should be ordering the final grill today or tomorrow.

    me = late reply :(
    went to home depot and picked up the highest class mesh grill i could find!
    lol
    basically the thickest mesh they carried. painted flat black, then decided to shoot it with some clear.
    defeating the purpose of flat black.
    shot the satoshi with clear coat too. looks 100% better
    flat black grill and mesh looked too plain.

    I clear coated all my stuff too. Where did you find the mesh at home depot and how much was it. All i could find was the stuff you see in my pictures.

    You know what I just thought of to make it less revealing....? Maybe to get a small diameter mesh and put that behind the first showing layer

    i've got a piece of the grill i would order in my hand. they send out sample pieces. it'll be a lot less revealing. IMO its the exact same as grillcraft. Only way i'd by a grillcraft is if i wasn't planning on doing the satoshi.

    took me awhile to find it. it was a huge 8 ft sheet for like 10 bucks. it was on one of the aisles by the hardward. found the chicken wire looking stuff and then kept looking around. asked them if they had thick mesh grill...
    Roberto was more than generous to help me :D

    got any pictures of it before painting. I can't really see its thickness on your main picture. too dark. or could you take a picture of any excess you have lying around. It will help me decide my decision on a grill that i planned on making this afternoon.

    still a bit too revealing for me. nonetheless you get an e-cookie for finding a better material than me. Now i'm stuck with like 30 ft of chicken wire.
    Was that the smallest mesh they had?
    BTW, I like how you pulled the butterfly outta your hair for the truck picture. Mighty cute :D

    I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
    Made my trip to lowes and homedepot. Found the mesh that jonnysrt2004 used but its just a little too big of a mesh for my liking. However, I found the perfect mesh while i was there. Gutter guard screens. Exact size mesh i wanted. But they only sell it in sheets big enough for gutters, no help. If you guys know someone who can get there hands on the material for gutter guards, may wanna check into it.
