Here is my recently completed grille, it's not really a deep dish so maybe it's not considered a true satoshi - I'm not sure. I really like the way it turned out tho...

I don't like how the grille was supposed to be installed so my brother and I came up with our own way....

I ordered a new grille & surround Assy. from partstrain.com and the new aluminum grille from www.grilleguy.com thru Ebay and then Bill started hacking away with the dremel....

We hacked out ALL of the old grille and then had to trim the aluminum grille 1/4" all around the outside to set it inward as far as possible as the aluminum grille wasn't cut to proper size when it arrived in the mail...

Overall I'm really happy with the way it turned out - lots of work with the cutting, but at least we avoided any fiberglassing or painting etc....so yeah it's not a deep deep dish, but at least it's not one of those zip-tie slap-on grilles that go over top of your old grille lol...

I also installed a set of Eibach springs with Bilstein shocks up front which I got already pre-assembled from Toytec - I have them adjusted pretty much all the way down for now tho...but what a difference over the stock suspension.

thanks guys!! yeah I'll try to get some pics of the backside later today maybe....it's actually just clipped in there the way we cut the plastic and aluminum. It's pressed against little tabs that were left from the original plastic grille that were cut short enough to be hidden behind the rubber seal on the aluminum. I was thinking about colour matching the grille or maybe going with a 2-tone scheme with the whole truck with a darker grey.....but for now...the chrome with dark grille looks pretty sharp in my mind! and I can always pop out the aluminum easily and paint later if I want, maybe this summer.
